What Does a Cricut Do?
A Cricut is a machine that is used for crafting. It is mainly used for cutting various materials, but it can do more than that.
The machines have different capabilities, so if you’re interested in options other than cutting, go for the Cricut Maker, which can cut many more items.
In addition to cutting, the Cricut Maker can use different blades that can engrave, score, foil, and write with pens.
The complete list can be found here.
What Can a Cricut Cut?
Most Cricut users cut vinyl, iron-on vinyl (or HTV), infusible ink sheets, and paper with their Cricut.
A Cricut Maker can cut fabric, burlap, leather, felt, balsa wood, stencil vinyl, craft foam, and chipboard, while a Cricut Explore can cut bonded fabric.
If you have a Cricut Maker but are afraid to use it, check out this post on making your first project with your Cricut Maker.
Cricut Project Ideas
Your Cricut can make so many things. Anything can be made cuter with a decal or iron-on vinyl!
If you’re a holiday crafter, these craft projects make great gifts. Here are some of my favorite Cricut gift ideas.
I’ve added links for the projects I’ve made in each category. Eventually, I want to have links for everything.
Vinyl Projects
Vinyl can be put on any solid surface object.
It comes in removable and permanent versions. Removable vinyl is great if you change your mind often, and it can also be used for stencils.
Permanent is great for gifts and items you want to last a while. It’s also ideal for outside projects.
