Sunroom

After setting up Christmas displays 3 times already in my vintage booth, I’ve kept my decor fairly simple this year.

My Christmas tree is set up in my sunroom again because it’s such a happy, cozy room to spend Christmas morning in. The subtle shimmer from my DIY table is perfect for Christmas. daybed and retro table

The tree is only partially decorated right now. I flocked our white tree to look super snowy and it took longer than I thought. By the time I was ready to decorate, both of my kids were with friends. So I left the special ornament decorating to when they can join in on the fun. white christmas tree

Normally, our tree is filled with handmade ornaments and ones that the kids picked out. It’s so much fun to remember years past. Like when my now 14 year old son was into Elmo. For now, it just has bulbs and tinsel. I love these disco balls too!christmas ornaments on tree

The bar is ready for hot cocoa in my super cute reindeer mugs. I tried to find vintage Santa mugs, but none in usable shape. So I bought new ones.  I added a chindi rag runner to add a bit more color to this space. hot cocoa bar

My kids begged me not to sell this Dancing Santa. They’re right. He’s worth keeping. Santa dances when you wind it up and he’s just too cute. Here’s a similar one.

DIY stockings are hung and waiting to be filled with goodies. I’ve written 2 stocking gift guides so far in case you’re stumped for ideas: Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Boys | Stocking Stuffers for Adults

Bottle brush trees are perfect for any space.

And the final touch in the room is this felt Advent calendar that I made years ago. It’s based off of this design, but I used my favorite colors instead.

I love how festive the sunroom feels!

Dining Room

The dining room also got decked.christmas in dining room

I’ve been dreaming of the day when I could add garland to my staircase! It’s a regular garland with cute squirrel lights and mushrooms from IKEA.garland on staircase

Their holiday collection is amazing this year.squirrel light and mushroom ornament on garland

You can also see a peek of my agate wreath.agate wreath on window

The sideboard is set with my tinsel tree decked out in repro Shiny Bright ornaments and garland that I found at Home Goods. christmas tree on IKEA besta sideboard

I love the retro feel of this room!

Bottle brush trees are my favorite. I added some new trees from IKEA and a cloche to put them in. Then I added the cutest deer ever. christmas vignette

The elf is from my shop, but you can get a set here.elf on plant

This built in cabinet got a disco ball added that looks amazing when the sun hits it. Unfortunately, we haven’t see a lot of sunshine lately.disco ball on cabinet adds holiday flair

The table was set with a DIY table runner. (My son’s friends asked if we were having people over. Haha. Nope. Just for photos.)holiday tablescape

Woven placemats add a boho touch to the table. I used my favorite agate napkin holders and fringe napkins.boho table decorFinally, a cluster of candlesticks and a bowl of ornaments make a fun centerpiece that’s low enough to see through.

  1. Emy your home is always so bright and cheery especially at the holidays. I love the retro reindeer mugs for your cocoa bar and the awesome agate wreath you created that is so unique. Great job my friend I can tell that there will be no shortage on merriment at your home this year.

  2. Emy you are a woman after my color loving heart! Your tree is gorgeous and almost looks pink when lit up. And your agate wreath….genius! You have so many fun touches here it’s a treat to see, absolutely beautiful.

  3. Such a cheerful room! I adore the agate wreath! My son is a rock and mineral collector. The colors are festive in all the rooms, which I totally love and I love the unexpected whimsy of little elves and rad disco balls.

  4. Love all the color! I especially love the agate wreath and the whimsical elves and other woodland folks appearing here and there. I really liked the larger mirrored disco ball! I want one! I would keep it out year round.

  5. I just love love love all that color!! And you so many vintage goodies, those reindeer mugs are so cute and I always love your Christmas tree đŸ™‚ Have a very Merry Christmas!!

  6. Emy, I love your use of color! In a world where home decor can nowadays be somewhat bland, your use of color couldn’t be more refreshing! My most favorite thing about your home tour though, are your walls! The colors and patterns are just stunning!
