Happy Planner Box Sizes for Stickers – Updated for 2022

If you make stickers for the Happy Planner, you know that the box sizes change from year to year. Here are the updated sizes for the 2022 Happy Planner boxes.

Most of my blog posts start out like this: I need an answer, so I google it. There’s not a good answer to my question, so I figure it out on my own and then write about it.

This post is one of those times.

I sell planner stickers in my Etsy shop, so every year I like to make sure that they’re the right size.

I tried to find this information online, but it looks like most of the information is a few years old.

If you’ve been using the Happy Planner for a while, you know that the sizes have changed a bit over the years.

Here are the updated box sizes to create stickers for the Happy Planner.

Please keep in mind: There are too many layouts available to know all of them.

I’ve included what I have. If you have a different layout with other sizes, leave a comment so I can compile all of the sizes.

Happy Planner Box Sizes

I’ve included sizes for dates, days of the weeks, and months even though they are not bounded by a box.

They’re based on the months, days, and numbers with the longest character count. (ie September vs May).

Classic Happy Planner

I love the size of the Classic Happy Planner.

It’s the perfect Goldilocks size of being just right to fit on a desk without taking up too much space. But it’s large enough to have plenty of space to write.

Vertical Layout

The Classic Happy Planner Cover measures 7.75″ x 9.75″.

• Pages: 7″ x 9.25″
• Calendar Boxes: 1.5625″ x 1.5625″
• Month: 3.75″ x .5″
• Days of the Week (month): 1.5625″ x .25″
• Days of the Week (daily): 1.5″ x .25″
• Date: .75″ x .5″
• Daily Box (entire size): 7.5″ x 1.5″
• Daily Box (long):5″ x 1.5″
• Daily Box or Full Box (short): 1.5″ x 2.5″

Mini Happy Planner

The mini Happy Planner is the perfect size to take with you in a purse or backpack.

The cover measures 5.125″ x 7.5″.

Horizontal Layout

• Pages: 4.625″ x 7″
• Calendar Boxes: .9375″ x 1.1875″
• Month: 1.875″ x .5″
• Days of the Week (month): 1.5625″ x .25″
• Month (daily): 1.875″ x .5″
• Side boxes: 1.5″ x 2.5″
• Daily Box: 3.75″ x 1.5625″
• Vertical full box: 1″ x 1.9375″

Big Happy Planner

As far as I can tell, the Big Happy Planner is either not that popular so not that many places are stocking it anymore OR so popular that they sold them all. I can’t tell.

My local stores have had none in stock for months, so I ordered one online.

The Big Happy Planner cover measures 9.25″ x 11.5″.

Monthly Layout

• Pages: 8.5″ x 11″
• Calendar Boxes: 1.8125″ x 1.8125″
• Month: 3.75″ x 1.25″
• Days of the Week (month): 1.8125″ x .375″
• Full box: 1.9375″ x 3.125″ (Updated since 2021)

Happy Planner Sticker Templates

Making your own stickers is so easy with a template. I sell a template that works with Adobe Illustrator (or other vector-based software.)

I also sell a smaller template that works in Canva.

Just add your own colors, fonts, and elements to customize your stickers.
