I miss the days when Christmas lights were big and colorful. So I made this card featuring vintage-style Christmas lights. It’s simple, but cute. And so easy to make!
How to Make this Card
Supplies Needed:
- Card Blanks (I used size A6 – 4.5 x 6.25″)
- Cricut Smart Cardstock Or Regular Cardstock
- Cricut (I used my Cricut Maker 3)
- Glue (if using regular cardstock)
- SVG (Link at bottom of post)
Cricut Smart Cardstock is my secret to making quick and easy handmade cards. I love it because you can skip the mat when using it with a Cricut Maker. Since it has an adhesive backing, you can skip the glue, which makes this card even faster to make.
- Upload and cut the design as usual. Be sure to attach the lettering before cutting to keep the letters together.
- Find the center of the card and apply the center bulb.
- Lightly apply the light cord over the yellow bulb, but don’t attach it all the way.
- Apply the next bulb and press the light cap over the top.
- Do the same for the last bulb.
- Apply the light reflection to each bulb.
- Apply the lettering. Start at the center and work your way out. I also find it helpful to place the paper above the card as I work to get the proper spacing.
- Press everything smooth to make sure it’s attached firmly.
