As a crafter, my favorite gifts are the ones that I get to play with. I guess I’m still a kid in that respect. I’ve made a list of my favorite gift ideas for crafters, along with a few things on my own wish list.
The Best Gifts for Crafters
Learn more about what crafters really want this year.
xTool O1 Omni UV Printer
This is truly the gift for the crafter who has everything. The xTool O1 Omni is an all-in-one home printer that can print on almost anything.
I have this printer, and it is so much fun to use. It’s so cool to see my art on products. If they want to start a handmade business in the future, the xTool O1 Omni is a great way to help them get started!
There are 3 versions available. The Single UV printer is best for printing on rigid items, such as magnets, journals, and tumblers (with the rotary accessory). The Dual Head UV version is similar, but it includes neon ink. The UV and DT dual printer is for crafters who want to print on everything. It prints on everything from magnets and tumblers to T-shirts and fabric.

It feels like magic every time I print something new. I can’t say enough good things about this machine.

xTool C1 Color Cutter
If the crafter in your life is frustrated with their current cutting machine, the xTool C1 Color Cutter is the gift for them. This new cutting machine prints AND cuts! It uses a scanner to cut images, so you waste less material and time! It can cut multiple items at once, saving even more time.
It’s basically every cutting machine enthusiast’s dream machine. No more wasting materials with registration marks. No more printing on a separate machine and hoping it lines up. No more troubleshooting and recalibrating because it didn’t line up.
This machine is great for sticker makers!
Did I mention it’s almost silent? My other cutting machine is so loud, it upsets my dog, but the xTool C1 is so quiet, she doesn’t even notice. If she’s happy, I’m happy!
xTool WonderPress
Does the crafter in your life make a lot of T-shirts? They will love the xTool WonderPress. This machine makes heat pressing so much easier. It comes programmed with preset heat press temperatures and times to remove the guesswork when crafting.
There are add-on components to make 3D forms and a craft oven. The craft oven can cure DTF powder on transfers and make shrink plastic crafts.
I don’t have this machine yet, but it’s on my wish list.
Craft Kits
Craft kits are another fun gift idea. They are available in so many options.
Here are a few that I really love.
- Dala Carving Kit
- Frida Kahlo Cross Stitch Kit
- Cyanotype Kit
- 3D Wall Frame Painting Kit
- Miniature House Kit
Block Printing Kit
If they are artsy, consider a block printing kit. They can make hand-carved cards and art prints.
If they already love block printing, get them a really good carving tool set or a printing press.
Fancy Sketchbook
Artists never have enough sketchbooks. They would never buy themselves fancy sketchbooks, though. So buy them a gift that they would never buy for themselves. This sketchbook has paper that is thick enough for most mediums. And it’s so pretty.
Light
Allow your crafter to work on even the darkest days with an Ottlite desk lamp. I have one, and I love that it’s small but powerful.
Glue Gun
This battery-powered glue gun lets them craft anywhere, anytime. No more scrambling for an outlet or worrying about unplugging it when they’re done.
Gelli Plate
Gelli plates are great for artists and junk journalers. These fun plates are great for monoprinting or making collage paper. I can spend hours playing with mine.
Cardstock
Paper artists never have enough cardstock. This set has absolutely gorgeous colors.
Books
Craft books are always a fun source for new inspiration. Here are some of my favorites.
- Abstract Painting by Petra Tholken
- Creative Watercolor and Mixed Media by Ana Victoria Calderon
- Pink Eraser Art by Serena Rios McRae
- Emily Lex Studio Baking Watercolor Workbook
Heat Gun
Heat guns are so versatile. You can use them with shrink plastic, embossing powder, or even dry paintings quickly.
Roll Up Pencil Case
This roll-up pencil case lets your crafter draw on the go. It holds 36 pencils, which is plenty for plein aire sketching.
Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Crafters
Stork Scissors
These iconic stork scissors will bring a smile to their face. These small scissors are great for embroidery or small sewing projects. Yarn lovers will also love these.
Embroidery Floss
If they love embroidery, get them more embroidery floss. They can never have too much!
Soft Grip Knife
This soft grip knife is great for paper crafters. I love how sharp these blades are.
Bone Folder
A bone folder is a great gift for paper crafters. This bamboo version is lovely!
Washi Tape
Every crafter loves washi tape because it can be used for so many things. I use it to tape paper edges for watercolor painting. But it’s also great for journaling.
Paint Brushes
Crafters never have enough paintbrushes. This is my favorite watercolor brush. This inexpensive brush set is good for all-purpose crafting.
Gift Card
Still not sure what to get them? Why not give them a gift card to their favorite craft store?
