Free Cricut Fonts for Crafting

Choosing fonts is one of my favorite things to do when designing projects. It’s so fun how different fonts can make something feel. But it can also be one of the hardest parts.

At the time of writing, Cricut currently has 1200 fonts (135 are free).

Finding free fonts is easy. Use the filter and select the check box by free. If desired, choose your project type under General.

Free Fonts for Cutting

Thin fonts may need a small offset added to make them thick enough for cutting. This is found under Effects.

If you select writing fonts and they don’t look thin enough, select one and the list will change to show you the writing version for each font.

Any font can be used with pens, but it will only draw the outline. Choose the pen option to make sure it writes.

My Favorite Font Pairs

Pairing fonts can feel difficult. I like to pair opposites for a nice contrast. For instance, a chunky font with a thin font always looks nice. You can also mix style types. An ornate font looks great with a plain font.

Using the same font in different thicknesses will create a cohesive feel. In number 9, I used the regular and the writing version together.
