DIY Trick or Treat Banner for Halloween

Learn how to make this cute Trick or Treat banner to decorate for Halloween. This paper banner is so easy to make using a Cricut or paper cutter. The free SVG is included.

How to Make a Trick or Treat Banner

Supplies Needed:

Cardstock in black and white
Cricut
Strin g
Scissors
Glue (optional)
SVG (Available at the bottom of this post)

Please note: The photos don’t include string holes. However, the file has been updated and now includes the holes.

Upload and cut the file as usual. The letters must be uploaded separately. Duplicate the “T” and “R” 3 times. Attach the background group. Then duplicate it 11 more times for a total of 12.
Unload the paper from the mat. Rolling the mat away from the paper helps to prevent the cardstock from curling.
Now it’s assembly time. Gently slide the letter piece into the spiderweb corners at the top of the background piece.
Then gently tuck the ends into the curved cuts at the bottom.
You can glue the paper down if you want, but it’s designed to stay in place without glue.
Cut 3 pieces of string to about 4′ long.
Wrap a piece of tape around the end to make it easier to string. Alternatively, you can use a tapestry needle if you have one.
Start with the last letter and string it into the hole on the right side from the top. Go under the paper and come back up through the hole on the left side.
Repeat these steps for the entire banner.
Hang and enjoy. Cut the strings if they’re too long.
