Magical Pastel Winter Tablescape

Sharing is caring!

Winter is not my favorite. I know it’s not technically winter yet, but it’s cold. Keeping warm is my main goal right now. I can normally be found under a pile of blankets wearing many layers.

This year, I’m trying to find ways to make winter suck a little less. Adding color seems to be the key. So why not set the table with a magical winter tablescape?

I bought this Kate Spade polka dot runner from Marshall’s a few months ago. Polka dots always make me happy and I envisioned a Kate Spade inspired tablescape with it. The end result is much different than I had planned, but even better maybe? I really love the soft, pastel colors.

Color and whimsy dominate this magical winter tablescape.

I layered round gold placemats, aqua plates, and white plates. Agate napkin rings hold my pink napkins. Now I want to buy or make napkins in every color! A darker pink would have been even better! Green glasses (similar) bring in more color.

Dyed bottle brush trees, tinsel and agate combine to make a dazzling winter tablescape.

The agate is so pretty. It reminds me of ice on a cold winter day.

In the center, I layered dyed bottle brush trees and white tinsel. Oh, tinsel, could you be any more amazing? The result is a magical pastel winter tablescape.

The elf candle holders are cute too. I bought them years ago from CB2, but sadly, they are no longer available.

I really love how the tablescape looks with my vintage chandelier. I need more pink in this room! (Spot the puppy!)

This tablescape idea is not holiday specific and could be used for any of the upcoming holidays. We have a lot of birthdays between now and Spring, so this idea would work well for that too!

Playing with dishes and linens was a fun distraction from the bitter cold outside. Some people knit; I make tablescapes and take pictures of them. 🙂
